Happy February!

The weather has been so odd lately, yesterday I woke up to 3cm of snow, and out came my wellies again, plus when I walked to work it was under a brilliant blue sky. Then today, the snow has gone and it is trying to rain, but the sun is also trying to push through the dark clouds. When I greeted my friend, she said she'd had sleet on her way to work, what is going on?
Met Office:- Low pressure dominates the UK with centres to the north east, west of Ireland and a deep centre south of Greenland. The associated fronts are complicated, but essentially bringing milder air across the UK. The inner set of fronts will bring heavy rain, orographically enhanced, to most of Wales.

Brooch

My husband and I have had a very lazy day, we've both stayed in our pajamas and watched old films on the telly and then played w.o.w for a while. After lunch Hubby took his routine nap in the chair and I played with fabric and old buttons and made this brooch.

Flying to the office!

Morning!

I'm just finishing of my porridge - blueberry flavoured, yum-yum and gazing out of the window at the tops of trees wondering, if I could fly to work, wouldn't that be something? Maybe on a flying skateboard or a magic carpet, although it might be a tad unsafe in strong winds. "It's not all that windy today" I hear you remark, 'true' I reply, so maybe today, I will sail high above the bunnies, the roof tops and the lake on my magical carpet and sweep into the office...now where is that bag of Dust?

Have a brilliant Friday!

Anahata Katkin's work

I love this piece, it shows an insight into the artists mind, something I would like to attend to my journal pages that currently look quite static. How does Anahata do this?

Well to find out, you can read Anahata's blog at:- http://artpropelled.blogspot.com/2008/06/five-stages-of-creative-expansion.html

10 January 2010

Photos from this morning's walk by Wood, mallards looked cold standing on the frozen lake.
It was trying to snow the whole time we were out and still is, as I'm typing this. We did meet a few couples and families out walking and a few dogs ventured onto the frozen lakes and their owners fearing the worst called sharply for them to return to solid ground.
We heard a wonderful hollow sound of a woodpecker drilling into a tree, and in reply another woodpecker 500 yards away returned the call. It was lovely to see and hear them.
The snow covered landscape is so beautiful.

Happy New Year!!

Hello Again,

Well my plan of posting messages over Christmas didn't work - sorry about that.

I hope everyone had a brilliant time and Father Christmas brought you what you most desired. He brought me lots of embroidery kits and creative materials...which I adore.

Well I hope you eat and drink plenty today and enjoy the company of friends!

Love
