Trip to Wales 2012

The Second Bridge - we are returning to England on a cold, wet and windy Friday morning, this is at 10.30am - can you believe it? It's so dark, but you can still make out the massive cables holding up this marvelous engineering structure of the bridge spanning the Severn estuary.

Welcome to Caerphilly Castle, Wales.  This photo is the information board - I like the picture on the far right, showing what the castle looked like in the Middle Ages.

High street / town - meet Castle moat / walls

I love this photo. The moat leads the eye around the corner of the bush and over the row of houses and beyond into the Brecon Beacons.  Plus, in the foreground a beautiful bird fishing for it's lunch. See photo below for close up.

Welsh Wales

Greetings everyone! Hope you enjoyed the Jubilee celebrations, I saw part of the concert at Buckingham Palace, which incorporated Gary Barlow's SING track, I love that song!! I am on holiday with friends in a very wet, Welsh Wales. Yesterday we got soaked through and had to return to the hotel early to drain our socks of water and dry our clothes on the one and only radiator. Still we had a super day. I will post pictures when we return home, as the Internet connection is limited here. Have a good day!

Garden

Our latest home & garden purchase: a stone, locally produced water bath!

Local residents splashing about and having a drink. Hopefully this will deter the house sparrows from using our drain pipe has a wet room.
